Cover Supervisor – Welwyn Garden City

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise classes during teacher absences, ensuring that students remain focused and engaged.

• Deliver pre-set lesson materials and manage classroom behaviour effectively.

• Support students in completing assigned work, promoting a positive learning environment.

• Follow school safeguarding, behaviour, and health & safety policies.

• Provide feedback to teaching staff on student progress and classroom activity.

Education & Experience

• Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.

• A-Levels or a Degree preferred.

• Previous experience working with young people or within an educational setting (e.g. Teaching Assistant, Sports Coach, Youth Worker) is desirable.

• Classroom management experience or training is advantageous.
