Cover Supervisor Dunstable

• Supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of teachers

• Deliver pre-set lesson plans and ensure students remain on task

• Manage classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies

• Provide support to students where necessary

• Report back to teaching staff on lesson progress and behaviour

• Ensure a safe and productive learning environment

• Follow all safeguarding procedures at all times

• Experience working with young people (e.g. schools, coaching, youth work)

• Previous classroom or cover supervision experience – advantageous

• Suitable for graduates, aspiring teachers, or experienced education professionals

• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills

• Confident communication and presence

• Ability to engage and motivate students

• Flexible and adaptable approach

• Good organisational skills

• Professional, reliable, and proactive attitude

• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing

• Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths

• Degree or relevant qualification – desirable

• Safeguarding training (or willingness to undertake training)
