Description

As a Nursery Nurse, you will provide care and support for children in early years settings, assisting with activities that promote physical, emotional, social, and intellectual development. You will work closely with other staff to maintain a safe, nurturing environment and help prepare children for the next stage of their learning journey.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities and learning experiences
• Support children with daily routines, including meals, hygiene, and rest
• Observe and monitor children’s development and report progress
• Maintain a safe and clean environment at all times
• Promote positive behaviour and encourage social and emotional development
• Communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and management

Experience

• Previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting
• Experience caring for children across different age groups
• Understanding of child development and learning strategies

Educational Requirements

• Level 2 or Level 3 Diploma in Early Years Care and Education (or equivalent)
• Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
