Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality care and learning experiences for children aged 0–5 years.

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging activities following the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.

• Create a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment that encourages curiosity and development.

• Observe, assess, and record children’s progress to support individual learning needs.

• Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and carers to ensure the best outcomes for all children.

• Support the daily routines of the nursery, including meal times, nappy changes, and outdoor play.

• Maintain accurate records and ensure all policies and safeguarding procedures are followed.

Experience:

• Previous experience working in a nursery, preschool, or early years setting.

• Experience supporting children’s learning and development in line with EYFS standards.

• Proven ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and team members.

Skills:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Strong understanding of child development and early years practice.

• Ability to plan engaging, age-appropriate activities.

• Reliable, proactive, and passionate about supporting young children.

• Strong organisational and record-keeping skills.

Educational requirements:

• Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification (or equivalent in Childcare).

• A good understanding of the EYFS framework.

• Paediatric First Aid certification is desirable.

• Safeguarding training (or willingness to complete).
