Make a Difference as an SEN Teaching Assistant in Hitchin

We offer flexible supply roles, whether you’re seeking full-time or part-time work, and can place you in a variety of primary and secondary schools based on your experience and availability.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with a range of special educational needs (e.g., ASD, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language delays)
• Assist with the implementation of individual learning plans and strategies tailored to the needs of each pupil
• Help with behaviour management and support emotional and social development
• Work closely with class teachers, SENCOs, and other staff to monitor and track pupil progress
• Foster a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment

What We’re Looking For:
• Previous experience working with children with SEN
• A patient, calm, and caring approach to working with young learners
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team
• Flexibility to work across different schools and year groups
• A DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one)
