Responsibilities:

Make a Difference in Bedford as a SEND Teaching Assistant

Keep Education is looking for a passionate SEND Teaching Assistant to work with students who have special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) in schools across Bedford. This is a fantastic opportunity to support SEND students in an inclusive and nurturing environment, helping them achieve their potential and develop key skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 and small group support to SEND students

• Assist in the delivery of personalised learning plans and activities

• Support students with their emotional, social, and behavioural development

• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere

• Work closely with teachers and other professionals to meet the needs of each student

• Maintain accurate records of student progress and feedback

• Ensure the safety and well-being of students during lessons

Educational requirements:

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience working with children, preferably in a SEND or educational setting

• Understanding of various SEND conditions and strategies for supporting students

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team

• Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to supporting students

• A DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one)
