Join Our Team as a SEND Teaching Assistant in Dunstable

Keep Education is recruiting a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to work in schools across Dunstable, supporting students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). This is an excellent opportunity to make a difference in students' lives while gaining valuable experience in a supportive, inclusive school environment.

The role is flexible, with both full-time and part-time options available, and we’re looking for individuals who are passionate about supporting SEND students in their educational journey.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 or small group support to students with special educational needs

• Assist in the delivery of tailored learning plans and activities

• Help with classroom management and ensure students remain engaged in their learning

• Support students’ emotional, social, and behavioural development

• Work closely with teachers and other support staff to meet the needs of each student

• Maintain accurate records of student progress and report back to teachers and parents when necessary

• Ensure the classroom is a safe and supportive environment for all students

Educational requirements:

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience working with children, ideally in a SEND or educational setting

• Understanding of various SEND requirements and how to adapt teaching techniques

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team

• Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to student support

• A DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one)
